Pastor Steinhauer is a 1974 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School in Bascom, Ohio. He graduated with a Diploma in Pastoral Studies from Winebrenner Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Religious Studies degree from the University of Findlay in 2006. He was ordained with the Great Lakes Conference of the Churches of God General Conference in August of 2006. Pastor Steinhauer has been serving as the pastor of Hopewell Church of God since November of 2001.

Pastor Terry accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior on June 16th 1975 at Fostoria Baptist Church and accepted the call of God on his life to be a pastor on September 28th, 1975. He founded and served as the senior pastor of Fostoria New Covenant Church from 1984 to 1997. He married his childhood sweetheart and next door neighbor Deb Roberts (who was instrumental in his salvation) on November 1st, 1975. Deb is a Kindergarten teacher at Hopewell-Loudon Elementary School.

Together they have two children, Angela Malek, and her husband Aaron Malek reside with their two sons, Aristotle and Gabriel in Billings, Montana. Their son, Terry Jr. Is a technician with a home security company in Fayetteville, North Carolina. His wife Jenifer teaches first grade.
